First and foremost, I performed on the Palace of Mystery stage at the World Famous Magic Castle. It was nerve racking, to be sure, but by the end of the week I was having a blast being a part of a larger show. It was even fun being around the larger illusions and moving them around backstage. On top of all that, I really do feel I went up there and gave the people who attended the shows in what is one of the most crowded weeks a great performance. I had a blast and they had a blast, and that's one of the main reasons I do what I do.
This year was also my first year in a Halloween haunted house. I've been attending haunted attractions ever since I was 15 and I have always looked forward to getting to as many as I could each October. I guess wanting to be a part of one was just the natural progression, so when I saw the posting for "scare actors". While I did end up performing magic in the lobby, I spent the first three days in the basement scaring the guests. It was a lot of fun and I even managed to get a few good scares in.
All around it's bee a great year and I can't wait to see where this one takes me!
